24 Hour Jail Release

Many law firms say they offer 24 hour jail releases.  When you call you get an assistant or runner who tries to get your friend or loved one out of jail.  When you call us for a jail release an attorney, not a runner or assistant, will get your friend or loved one out of jail.

How are we able to get your friend or loved one out of jail?

As an attorney, it is often possible to get a person out of jail on personal bond that does not otherwise qualify. An assistant or runner can only approach judges with bonds that have been approved by pretrial services.  An attorney can approach the judge or magistrate regarding a defendant and request a personal bond that has not been approved. If the judge approves the personal bond requested by the attorney, the accused will be released on a promise to appear before the court, usually within a month.

If a personal bond is not possible, an attorney can request a cash deposit bond (Travis County only) from the Court which is normally 10 percent of the bond amount. The money is then deposited with the Court to assure that the accused will return to court. Once the case is resolved, the money will be returned to the accused, as opposed to money paid to a bondsman that will not be returned.

If all else fails, we have established working relationships with bondsmen that regularly get our clients out of jail.
